FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT LYFE
A: Students may enroll their child wherever a LYFE site is located. Students do not have to attend the same school as the LYFE site in which they wish to enroll their child.
A: Students should select another LYFE site that is convenient for them to get to and from while attending to school. Students should also check back periodically with their desired LYFE site as space may become available at any time during the school year.
A: LYFE classroom hours are determined by students’ needs. If needed, classroom hours are extended before and/or after school to support student parents’ school schedules.
A: LYFE services are inclusive and available to all student parents - both student mothers and student fathers as primary enrolling parents. Both a student mother and a student father can be enrolled in LYFE together as co-parents of a child or either parent can be enrolled in LYFE without the other parent.
A: Student parents must give written consent for co-parents and/or family members to pick up their child from LYFE during enrollment. In some cases grandparents or other families members may pick-up and drop-off the child periodically to help support the student parents’ academic needs.
